Coaches, please follow these procedures only if it is absolutely necessary to cancel the game.  You should check the field prior to the game cancellation, or find someone to do it for you.  Fields get hard to reserve and games should only be canceled if the field is unplayable.

          1.  Call the opposing teams coach

          2.  If you have an umpire scheduled, call them no later than 3:00 p.m. to cancel

          3.  If you are the first game of a double header, you must call the coach of the second   
               game and let him / her know that you cancelled your game and the umpire.

          4.  Find a date that works with the other team and call the scheduler to get a field.
